Clay Hand Presser

We are hiring a Clay Hand Presser for our terra cotta factory in Lincoln, CA. This job is very physical, requiring you to stand all day and use your hands and upper body strength constantly to push heavy, wet clay into molds to make our products. You must have excellent focus and pay close attention to detail to make sure every piece looks right. PMeducation:

High SchoolResponsibilitiesHand presses clay into mold and turns mold over after hand pressing is completed. Verifies that clay has proper consistency and thickness and assures that there are no air pockets in the mold. Assembles the mold Smoothens out the finish and ensures that it dries properly Lifts, carries and places pieces on rack so that pieces can be sent to dryers Attends safety meetings and abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies; ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected. Regular attendance is required.
