Roll Tender Trainee

Fisher Printing in Bridgeview is a leading regional and national printer of retail advertising inserts. We are looking for energetic team members preferably with printing experience who would like to excel at our print manufacturing facility.

AM JOB DESCRIPTION and DUTIES:

Set Stackers to the correct product size Stage skids, tops, boxes Tare skid Empty scrap carts • Wash blankets Change plates Assist crew web up press Assist roll tender Monitor folder delivery/waste conveyor Change waste bins as needed Adjust stackers Notify pressman of quality concerns Jog and stack product neatly on skids/boxes Sample 10 copies every splice Maintain inventory of skids/boxes Verify correct skid weight, labels, skid tags Transport full skids to Lantech as needed Jog copies off floor Clear paper from press/angle bars Remove paper from rollers • Wash blankets Assist crew web up press Jog copies off floor Empty scrap carts Clean/organize stacker area if time allows Clear folder jam Assist crew web up press Jog copies off floor Empty scrap carts Clean/organize stacker area if time allows Empty scrap carts Empty garbage bins Clean stackers, folder, angle bars Clean spills around press Wipe down units Clean ink under units Organize work benches Replenish chemicals/rags Empty ink fountain drip trays Clean units Assist during maintenance Perform other related duties as assigned Exprerience in Print Press preferred but not required.
