Full Job Description SUMMARY:
As a member of The UPS Store team, the Print Production Associate (PPA) provides knowledgeable and responsive service to The UPS Store print customers. This position is responsible to consult with customers over the phone and in-store to gather data, establish customer's needs and recommend print products that will meet the customer's needs. As a print specialist, this individual will use their knowledge and expertise of print products and production methods to increase revenue by enhancing print orders through up-selling and cross-selling. The PPA may work under minimal supervision and will interact daily with customers, owners, store managers, team members and vendors to accomplish established business objectives. While print related work will be the priority work for the associate, but when the print work is not avilable or other customers are in high volume, associate must be able to support all other services offered by the store effectively and efficeiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(not limited to) Educate customers on business solutions and print product offerings (e.g. digital printing, wide format, business products, specialty products, and binding and finishing services). Apply knowledge of print products and production methods to make product recommendations. Effectively apply knowledge of printing concepts such as paper considerations, file formatting, and output settings. Apply knowledge of color management to educate customer and make file adjustments as needed. Provide customers with quotes and follow up and consult on complex orders. Brainstorm and mock-up design ideas. Meet with customers to present concepts and adjust designs to fit their needs or taste. Effectively manage production workflow, schedules and production materials. Manage quality control throughout production process to ensure finished product is correct and meets customer and The UPS Store quality standards. Follow and understand quality guidelines. Understand, learn, and provide other services offered by the store. Must provide great customer service and should be good to work individually or in a team enviornment Operate and maintain print and finishing equipment. Deliver print sales and production training to other Center Associates
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge and application of Adobe Creative Software, Canva, PDF, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office (two years preferred) Knowledge and application of printing concepts Production scheduling experience Project management skills Production experience with digital printing equipment Production experience with bindery equipment Good concept of color management and able to apply file adjustments Attention to detail for proofing Ability to show up on time, have good work ethics, and must be reliable. Ability to work and complete tasks independently in a fast-paced environment Education and/or
Experience:
6 months - two years customer service and sales experience in a print production environment. Minimum one to two years of experience or a two-year degree in graphic design or related field. Experience with Adobe Creative Software. Canva, Google Drive, Excel, Fiery, and Microsoft Office.
Language Skills:
Ability to collaborate with customers on print projects Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (bi lingual preferred) Should communicate clearly and effectively
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Manual hand dexterity required to operate POS, printers, copiers and binding machinery, packaging tools, and complete customer paperwork. Must be flexible with work hours, as they may need to open or close store time to time, and we are open seven days a week.
Pay:
$16.90 - $18.00 per hour
