At Heritage Bag — Can Liner Division, we're looking for a senior operator who can own blown-film extrusion and bag-making from setup to finished pallet. If you excel at balancing safety, quality, and speed, you'll feel at home here. Is this you? Do you know blown-film extrusion and how to keep bubble, gauge, and layflat dialed in? Can you switch between products quickly—screens changed, blades swapped, Teflon tape refreshed—without losing throughput? Are you comfortable on bag lines (including Glouster 418-type and CMD Rotary machines with winders)? Will you track production and scrap precisely, then wrap, weigh, and secure pallets for shipment? Do you speak up early when equipment needs attention and work smoothly with maintenance and supervisors? What you'll do Operate blown-film extrusion equipment to produce film for trash can liners Run bag-making equipment for plastic bag conversion Prepare and execute line changeovers for varied product runs Complete routine machine inspections (screens, blades, Teflon tape) Report equipment issues promptly to leadership and maintenance Monitor quality and output against production standards Enter production and scrap data accurately Wrap, weigh, and secure pallets of finished goods Enforce safety policies and model safe behaviors Provide coverage during breaks, meals, and shift transitions Perform additional duties as assigned What you'll bring High school diploma or GED Manufacturing experience with 3+ years as a machine operator Proven experience on blown-film extrusion lines Ability to operate Glouster 418-type bag machines (preferred) Experience with CMD Rotary bag machines and winders (preferred) Comfort with polyethylene resin conveying and blending systems Strong organization and communication skills Basic computer literacy Core capabilities Mechanical troubleshooting Performing machine safety inspections Configuring equipment for production runs High School / GED If you answered "yes," we want to hear from you.
