Job Description

Position Summary:
The Clerk-Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely maintenance of production data within the SAP Inventory System. This role supports daily manufacturing operations by reviewing ingredient consumption, verifying finished goods production, and confirming process orders with accurate yields and material usage. This role partners closely with Accounting and Production teams to reconcile discrepancies, investigate variances, and maintain compliance with internal documentation standards.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Review SAP Inventory System daily to verify proper consumption of raw ingredients and creation of finished goods associated with Process Orders.
  • Confirm and close Process Orders in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy of reported yields and material usage.
  • Collaborate with Accounting to reconcile production yields and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist with routine and cycle inventory counts, including data entry and variance investigation.
  • Audit and review production paperwork to ensure completeness, accuracy, and alignment with SAP data.
  • Generate and maintain Process Orders when needed to support production continuity.
  • File and maintain relevant production, inventory, and process order documentation in an organized and accessible manner.
  • Perform regular SAP reconciliation activities to validate and correct system entries.
  • Communicate with staff to clarify any inventory or documentation issues.
  • Uphold and promote Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times.
  • Identify and report data inaccuracies or trends that could impact inventory accuracy or financial reporting.
  • Assist with special projects and other clerical duties as assigned by leadership.
  • Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management to support operational goals.
  • This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practice appropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and by following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.

Experience & Skills:
  • 0-1 years of experience in related field is preferred.
  • Strong organizational ability, attention to detail, and numerical aptitude to accurately record and reconcile data.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and understand production documents and perform basic math calculations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally with multiple departments.
Preferred Education:
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent work experience is required.
Compensation/Benefits We are committed to fair and transparent pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $18.05 to $27.05 USD per hour. The final hourly rate offered will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, internal equity, and market considerations.
Additional Compensation:
This position may also be eligible for overtime pay, shift differentials, and/or bonus opportunities, as applicable.

Work Environment:
  • Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role).
  • Work conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.
  • This role does not require any domestic travel
  • Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 15 pounds
  • Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.
  • Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
