Production Associate

Bakery Associate Job Description We are hiring Bakery Associates to support high-volume production of donuts, danish, muffins, and other products. This role is ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of experience in a production or manufacturing environment who are comfortable working hands-on in a fast-paced bakery setting. The position supports ingredient handling, machine-assisted production, and packaging while maintaining food safety and GMP standards. Responsibilities Support dough mixing, lamination, and production processes following recipes and schedules Accurately handle, stage, and measure ingredients for production Assist with operation of bakery equipment such as mixers, conveyors, and lamination lines Monitor product quality and report any issues or inconsistencies Perform general production and packaging tasks including feeding lines, stacking racks, labeling, and palletizing Maintain cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and production floors Follow all GMP, food safety, and workplace safety procedures Complete basic production documentation and paperwork Work collaboratively with team members to keep production running smoothly Essential Skills / Requirements Must be at least 18 years old High School Diploma or GED preferred Ability to read, write, and communicate basic English Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed Must follow all PPE, GMP, and hygiene requirements At least 1 year of experience in production, manufacturing, bakery, food processing, or warehouse environments Ability to follow written instructions, recipes, and SOPs Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs Ability to stand and walk for 10-12 hours per shift Ability to perform repetitive motions including bending, reaching, and twisting Comfortable working in hot, loud environments with flour and gluten present Work Environment Manufacturing bakery operating under strict GMP and food safety standards Fast-paced, hot, and loud environment with standing for extended periods Work performed around moving machinery and conveyor systems Peanut-free facility; food, beverages, and cell phones only allowed in designated non-production areas PPE required at all times, including gloves, hairnets, beard nets, and company-provided smocks Approved non-slip (water- and oil-rated) safety shoes required Hard hats or bump caps required in areas with low-hanging equipment Jewelry and cosmetics (including nail polish, false nails, and false eyelashes) are not permitted Facility operates multiple shifts and has strong baking-related aromas Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sacramento, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
