FASTSIGNS
San Mateo We are one of the largest volume franchised
FASTSIGNS
centers with over 700 locations worldwide. We offer custom state-of-the-art printing, routing and engraving solutions to hundreds of satisfied customers each year. We also produce and install vehicle graphics, dimensional logos, and decorative wall and window vinyls. We are an equal opportunity employer in business since 1991 in San Mateo. This is NOT a remote position. Qualified candidates will be able to commute daily to our center in San Mateo and operate a company vehicle to travel to client locations from there. Responsibilities Quickly and accurately produce all types of signs and graphics. Operate and maintain large format printers, laser and rotary engravers, CNC cutting/routing machines, laminators, and mounting tables. Safely use a variety of shop tools, including ladders, drills, and saws. Coordinate with the team to ensure jobs are completed on time. Maintain adequate material inventory and advise when inventory is low. Maintain a high level of quality in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Keep your workspace clean and free of clutter. When installations are scheduled, this role involves the following responsibilities: Install a variety of signs and graphics at client locations in the Bay Area, including but not limited to: vinyl wall and window graphics, frosted privacy films, stud-mounted letters and logos, room name signs, ceiling-mounted hanging signs, exterior signs and letters, vehicle graphics, posts mounted with concrete footings, painting, and other custom sign applications. Safely use a variety of power tools and hand tools, including but not limited to: saws, drills, hammers, screwdrivers, ladders, and aerial lifts. Arrive in a timely manner to scheduled installation appointments. Safely operate company vehicles including a cargo van. Perform maintenance tasks such as pumping gas, keeping vehicles free of clutter, and taking vehicles to routine or emergency maintenance appointments as required. Installation sites are typically located between 1 and 35 miles from our location. We typically schedule 1 to 4 installations per day. Purchase and pick up necessary installation hardware, adhesives and paints as required. Take quality photographs of completed installation work for use on social media and upload them in an organized manner to a shared cloud drive. The ratio of production to installation work in this role will depend on your skills and experience. Some of our team members primarily spend their day on installations, and others are primarily working in the production room. We train our team to fulfill either role effectively, and our ideal candidate is someone who is eager to what we can teach them.
