Job Summary:
As a Signshop Production Associate at D & M Traffic Services, you will play a crucial role in the production and preparation of traffic signs and related materials. You will work in a dynamic team environment, utilizing your skills to ensure the efficient operation of the signshop. From design to fabrication, your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality traffic management solutions to our clients.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Sign Production:
    Design, fabricate, and assemble a variety of traffic signs and related products according to customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Material Preparation:
    Prepare sign materials, including aluminum sheets, vinyl graphics, reflective materials, and sign substrates, ensuring they are cut, sized, and organized for production.
  • Equipment Operation:
    Operate various sign-making equipment such as vinyl cutters, plotters, laminators, and heat presses safely and efficiently to produce high-quality signage.
  • Quality Control:
    Conduct quality checks on finished signs to ensure they meet design specifications, color accuracy, and durability requirements. Make adjustments or corrections as needed to maintain quality standards.
  • Workspace Organization:
    Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the signshop, including proper storage of materials, tools, and equipment. Adhere to safety protocols including staying up to date on safety training through SiteDocs and adhering to HR guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Collaborate with colleagues in the signshop and other departments to coordinate production schedules, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of orders. Communicate effectively to address any issues or challenges that arise during production.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices related to sign production. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the signshop.
Job Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in sign production, graphic design, or a related field preferred.
  • Knowledge of sign-making equipment and materials, including vinyl cutters, plotters, and laminators.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to interpret design specifications and work with precision to meet customer requirements.
  • Proficiency in computer software programs such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or similar graphic design software.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and guidelines for equipment operation and workplace practices.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management.
Pay:
$21.00
