This role will also operate some of the most sophisticated manufacturing machinery in the industry. As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay scale for this position is $23.00 to $25.00 per hour. This pay scale takes into account a wide range of business factors and may change over time. Bay Center is establishing a state-of-the-art food processing production facility to create critical product components for an existing business, while also creating new B2B revenue streams. Responsibilities Safely and properly operate HPP machinery and other sophisticated equipment Troubleshoot problems with equipment, devices, or products Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures Ensure that product is promptly unloaded into the facility and prepared for processing Properly stage product and prepare for efficient loading procedures Maintain food and environmental health safety standards throughout the facility Correctly enter data as required Other duties may be assigned from time to time Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) High School Diploma Complete physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally moving with mechanical assistance up to 2,000 pounds Reach, bend, and stoop while performing work Work with and handle cleaning chemicals as needed Work while standing for several hours at a time Prepare for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and rotating shifts Wear all appropriate clothing safety equipment as required for the task being performed Ability to work above shoulders Ability to work around a variety of different smells, aromas and different temperatures Manage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workload Communicate effectively across stakeholders Adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner Self-starter with excellent project management and organizational skills Highly motivated with strong interpersonal skills; a team player, yet able to work independently when necessary Routinely shows interest / knowledge in and offers suggestions / solutions for continuous improvement Able to anticipate needs, lead multiple projects, and manage shifting priorities Proficient in English (reading, writing, and speaking): to safely follow verbal instructions, complete documentation and paperwork, and accurately interpret labels, pick lists, scanner prompts, signage, and company communications Preferred Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities) Experience in food production Required Level of Education High School Diploma
