This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in staying organized, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. What You'll Do Receive and inspect incoming materials and hardware Organize and track inventory Prepare cabinetry for delivery (inspect, wrap, stage, load) Maintain shop cleanliness and organization Assist cabinetmakers and finishers as needed Support daily production workflow Occasionally drive company van or box truck for deliveries and pickups Assist with loading/unloading and material handling What We're Looking For Reliable and detail-oriented Strong work ethic Comfortable in a hands-on shop environment Able to lift and move cabinetry components Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Forklift experience is a plus (or willingness to learn) Team player with a positive attitude Experience in woodworking or construction is a plus Overview The Production Floater / Support Specialist is a versatile, hands-on team member responsible for supporting daily shop and warehouse operations. This role focuses on receiving, shipping preparation, organization, and assisting across departments including cabinetmaking and finishing. This position is critical to maintaining workflow efficiency, reducing errors, and supporting the production team wherever needed. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inventory Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming materials and components Check in and organize: Doors and drawer boxes Hardware and accessories Glass and specialty items Maintain accurate inventory and storage organization Report shortages, damage, or discrepancies Shipping & Delivery Preparation Inspect completed cabinetry and components prior to delivery Ensure all items are complete and accounted for Wrap, protect, and stage jobs for shipment Assist with loading deliveries safely and efficiently Shop & Warehouse Organization Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop environment Assist with tool organization and basic upkeep Help improve material flow and storage systems Production Support (Floater Role) Assist cabinetmakers with assembly, prep, and handling Support finishing department with prep and movement of materials Step into different roles based on shop needs and priorities Driving & Equipment Operation Occasionally drive company shop van and box truck for deliveries or material pickups Assist with loading and unloading materials at job sites or vendors Operate forklift as needed (or willingness to learn) Qualifications Strong work ethic and reliability Detail-oriented and organized Ability to lift and handle cabinetry components Comfortable working in a fast-paced shop Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Forklift experience is a plus (training available if needed) Woodworking or construction experience is a plus (not required) Team-first mindset Success in This Role Looks Like Materials are received accurately and on time Jobs ship complete with minimal missing items Shop stays clean and organized Deliveries and pickups are handled safely and professionally Production team is supported and more efficient How to Apply Send your resume and a short note about yourself to: daphne@villagecollection.com
