Why This Role Green Dot Labs is seeking a detail-oriented Post-Extraction Technician I to support the production of premium cannabis concentrates within our Extraction department. This role is responsible for monitoring, processing, refining, and documenting concentrate products as they move through the post-extraction production pipeline. Working closely with the Extraction Supervisor and Lab team, this position helps ensure products meet internal quality standards, regulatory requirements, and production timelines. This role offers hands-on experience with concentrate production processes while contributing directly to product quality, consistency, and operational efficiency. What You'll Do Process and refine cannabis concentrates according to established SOPs and quality standards Monitor concentrate activity throughout post-extraction processing stages, including ovens, cooling equipment, storage racks, and other production environments Whip badder and formulate vape cartridge concentrate according to production specifications Release pressure from concentrate vessels and manage shatter slab processing activities Observe, document, and communicate concentrate performance and production results Confirm and record production batch weights and processing data Evaluate concentrate batches against internal quality control standards Escalate quality concerns, production issues, or equipment problems to leadership Document production observations, notes, and batch information in work orders and operational logs Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary laboratory environment Assist with cleaning, maintenance, and preparation of laboratory equipment Support extraction operations by packing, emptying, and cleaning extraction columns as needed Assist with compliant disposal of green waste and other operational support activities Support hash production, freeze drying, rosin preparation, and rosin pressing activities as needed Participate in training initiatives and support cross-functional operational needs Follow all company SOPs, safety procedures, and research and development directives What's In It for You Opportunity to work with one of the cannabis industry's most respected premium brands Hands-on experience with advanced cannabis concentrate production methods Exposure to extraction, post-processing, solventless production, and laboratory operations Collaborative team environment focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement Opportunities to build technical expertise and grow within extraction operations What Makes You a Great Fit High school diploma or GED required; college experience preferred Strong interest in cannabis extraction, concentrate production, and laboratory operations Prior experience with extraction methods, equipment, concentrate processing, or purging techniques preferred Previous experience working in a licensed extraction laboratory preferred Must have and maintain an active MED Badge, or be eligible and willing to obtain one prior to employment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Ability to identify production issues and equipment concerns Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and consistency Reliable transportation required Work Environment This role is primarily onsite in Boulder, CO and requires regular work within a cannabis extraction laboratory environment. The position typically follows a 40-hour workweek, with overtime opportunities based on production demands and operational needs. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and repetitive movement throughout the workday. Employees must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely around extraction equipment, cannabis concentrates, laboratory chemicals, and production machinery. Personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, eye protection, masks, hearing protection, hair nets, and safety footwear, must be worn as required.
