Sphere Renewables /South, 6333 E 56th Ave. Commerce City, CO. 80022 Overall goal: Improve throughput and efficiency of production operations with focus on improving manufacturing processes, solving technical problems, and driving continuous improvement Duties and responsibilities Production Support Provide daily engineering and technical support to manufacturing operations to maintain stable, efficient production Troubleshoot and resolve process issues affecting quality, yield, throughput, or productivity Develop, document, and standardize manufacturing processes, work instructions, and best practices Support training new employees in manufacturing processes, equipment operation, and process controls Continuous Improvement Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to eliminate recurring process issues Improve OEE, throughput, and labor efficiency through structured process optimization Evaluate and introduce new technologies, tools, and methods that enhance productivity or reduce cost Engineering Change Management Process and implement engineering change orders (ECO) in alignment with quality and production requirements Update drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation to reflect approved changes Ensure changes are communicated effectively and implemented without disruption to production flow Product & Customer Support Provide technical input for product quotations and manufacturability assessments Support customer and vendor technical inquiries related to processes, specifications, or nonconformance Collaborate with suppliers on technical requirements and process capability when needed Partner with the Commercial Team on nonconformance investigations and reporting Documentation Maintain engineering documentation and process standards, and technical specifications (TPS, PWI, etc.) Support implementation and maintenance of quality and manufacturing procedures Assist with PPAP documentation and submission requirements Produce technical drawings, shop drawings, and supporting documentation as required Environmental, Health & Safety Collaborate with the HSE team to reduce waste, improve ergonomics, and eliminate process related safety risks Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and model safe work practices Participate in safety training and proactively identify and report hazards Maintain clean, organized, and hazard free work areas Support the company's HSEQ Policy (E002) through consistent compliance and documentation General Drive continuous improvement across all assigned processes and document measurable results Maintain ongoing professional and technical development to support evolving manufacturing needs Collaborate with the Engineering and Assets team to support shared operational, reliability, and cost reduction goals Perform additional duties assigned by senior management aligned with operational priorities
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related field 25 years of manufacturing or process engineering experience preferred Strong oral and written communication skills Effective problemsolving skills for equipment, process, and production issues Experience with assembly lines, CAD, and general manufacturing/assembly operations Proficient in MS Office Suite and CAD
