Job Description

The Production Operator is responsible for supporting daily production operations through safe material handling, equipment operation, and workflow coordination. This hands-on role involves loading raw materials such as wood chips or biomass into processing systems, moving finished products throughout the facility, and maintaining efficient production flow. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and comfortable working in a physically active industrial environment. 2nd
Shift:
5:30pm - 5:30am Rotating Schedule Key Responsibilities Load raw materials, including wood chips and biomass, into processing equipment using loaders, forklifts, or other machinery Monitor and maintain consistent material flow to support efficient production operations Move, stage, and load finished products into barrels, containers, or transport vehicles Operate forklifts, loaders, and related equipment to transport materials throughout the facility Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform basic preventative maintenance Identify and clear material jams, blockages, or buildup within processing equipment Follow all company safety procedures and operating standards while handling materials and machinery Complete pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including debris and waste management Support additional production and operational tasks as assigned by supervisors Qualifications 1-3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, agriculture, construction, or other hands-on industrial environments Experience operating forklifts, loaders, skid steers, or similar heavy equipment preferred Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to use hand and power tools safely Ability to follow instructions, troubleshoot basic operational issues, and work independently or within a team Strong understanding of workplace safety practices in industrial or manufacturing settings Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic Ability to adapt and work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 50 pounds Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and varying temperatures/weather environments Ability to safely work around heavy machinery, moving equipment, dust, noise, and industrial materials Preferred Attributes Equipment operation certifications or forklift certification a plus Experience working in biomass, wood processing, agriculture, recycling, or industrial manufacturing environments preferred Commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational efficiency

$28.00 per hour
