Principle Responsibilities:
Be able to direct the workforce. Excellent meat cutting skills Good Knife Sharpening skills Knowledge of various cuts/styles of protein products Insure package integrity including but not limited to (leaker control, temperature regulation, and weight checks.) Perform pre-operational inspections on equipment so production can begin. Insure all pre-operational paperwork including HACCP forms before start-up. Oversee all downtime reports for designated areas and troubleshoot. Maintain product counts for each production run. Stimulate maximum safety, efficiency, motivation and productivity Anticipate and determine causes of delays in operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedules Monitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient production Responsible for meeting volume goals, reducing claims, maximizing yields, reducing cost and employee retention Other duties assigned
Qualifications:
Good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead a group and be a part of the group Manage individual employee objectives as well as team performance and building a team approach to problem solving Excellent verbal and written communication skills Computer skills
Requirements:
Authorized to work in the US 18 years of age or more Able to work fulltime M-F; Weekends and overtime as needed
Working Conditions:
Cold environment Manufacturing setting Standing or walking for prolonged periods of time Repetitive motion Uneven surfaces and slippery floors The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
