Now Hiring:
Elevator Specialist We're looking for a highly motivated Elevator Barley Specialist. This is a great opportunity supported by a great team. The Elevator Specialist assists the Elevator Supervisor with the receiving, shipping, cleaning, storage, and quality control of malt and seed barley. Various responsibilities of the Specialist may require work to be done safely in adverse conditions and environment, such as confined space, elevated work stations, and temperature extremes.. Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain cleaning, aeration, and conditioning systems for stored barley Ensure product quality through temperature management, pest control, and strict housekeeping Coordinate logistics: shipping, receiving, loading rail cars/trucks Assist in repairs of equipment, rolling stock, and elevator machinery Step into leadership when the Supervisor is away, including training and supervising seasonal workers Manage inventory records and documentation using computer systems (SAP, Excel, etc.) Help maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (required) 3-5 years of grain elevator or ag operations experience (preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Basic to advanced computer skills (Windows, Excel, SAP knowledge a plus) Comfort working at heights and in physically demanding conditions Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or occasional night shifts, especially during barley harvest
Bonus Qualifications:
Pesticide license (a plus, not required) Experience supervising teams or seasonal crews Ability to travel or temporarily relocate to transload sites when needed #
