As our Precision Dimensional Inspector, you'll be the quality gatekeeper on the production floor—verifying the very first piece, safeguarding in‑process work, and certifying finished parts before they ship. What Your Day Looks Like First piece acceptance on the shop floor: Partner with CNC machinists to verify the initial run meets print and GD&T requirements. In‑process checks: Conduct timely inspections to keep parts on spec and production on pace. Final inspection & documentation: Complete final dimensional reviews, compile customer-required paperwork, and package the inspection documents for shipment release.
Additional tasks:
Contribute where needed to ensure smooth, compliant operations.
What You Bring Experience:
3+ years in a job shop environment within a fast‑paced manufacturing setting inspecting machined components.
Tools proficiency:
Comfortable with standard inspection instruments (micrometers, height gage, indicators, etc.). Blueprint & GD&T fluency: Read/interpret prints and apply GD&T.
Documentation skills:
Interpret and work with customer paperwork to complete final inspection documents for shipment.
Organization:
Ability to multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
Plus factors:
Knowledge of Trigonometry; working knowledge of gage calibration systems.
