Shift:
1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm) Position Summary Manufacturing Company is seeking a reliable and motivated Press Room Operator to join our manufacturing team in Shelton, CT. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring mechanical stamping presses and supporting equipment used in the production of precision metal components. The ideal candidate will have previous manufacturing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced production environment. Essential Responsibilities Operate mechanical stamping presses in accordance with production schedules and quality requirements. Load raw materials and monitor production runs to ensure parts meet specifications. Perform routine inspections using basic measuring tools and visual inspection methods. Complete production documentation and maintain accurate records. Monitor machine performance and report equipment issues to supervisors or maintenance personnel. Follow all company safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Assist with material handling and setup support as needed. Ability to read work instructions and follow production procedures. Experience working with hand tools and measuring instruments is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Dependable attendance and strong work ethic. Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Experience Metal stamping or press room experience. Experience operating OBI and straight-side presses. Familiarity with coil-fed stamping operations.
