Industrial Maintenance Technician - Paint Dept. Position Role and Responsibilities:

Perform routine unscheduled and preventative maintenance to the paint equipment Support other team members as required Report daily in the morning turnover meeting Conduct regular 5S area audits and drive adaptation of a high level of organization, visual control, and efficient use of space Assist production as needed, including Press Operations that run at night Participates in team building, training, and department communications Shut down utilities (ventilation and burner equipment) and restart as needed for day shift Other duties as assigned

Essential Functions:

Must be able to lift a maximum of 50 lbs. and to stand for the length of the assigned shift Must have mechanical aptitude to work with little to no supervision operating and maintaining plant production equipment Must be able to utilize both hands Must be able to visually examine the product for quality and be detailed oriented Must be able to effectively communicate with others Must be able to work independently or as a member of a team Must be able to work assigned hours Must maintain an acceptable attendance record

Shift:

Overnight/Third Shift Schedule - reporting to work each night at 10pm and working until 8:30am the following morning Work is Sunday night through Thursday morning - Off on Thursday night, Friday night, and Saturday night

Required Experience:

Prior industrial maintenance experience is preferred Prior technical experience is preferred Requires excellent interpersonal skills, effective oral and written communication skills, and computer literacy Must have or be able to obtain the following licenses/certifications: Forklift This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
