Job Description

QC -
Sealer Both Operator Dayshift:
Monday-Wednesday 12 hour shift, Thursday 8 hour shift Detail-oriented and reliable Operator to oversee the operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of our sealer booth. In this role, you will apply protective coatings to products, closely monitor quality tolerances, and ensure all finished goods meet our exact color and durability specifications. The employee in this position is expected to assist in the operation of the production machinery and maintain a clean safe work area. This position will work with little supervision and is expected to actively participate with production personnel to achieve Crown's operational goals. Responsibilities
  • Ensure all safety equipment is always operational.
  • Operate and maintain sealer booth and associated spraying equipment.
  • Continuously observe products during the sealing process to verify color accuracy, texture, and coating consistency.
  • Identify, remove, and discard any unacceptable or defective units from the production line.
  • Accurately log the number of rejected items and detail the nature of the defects in daily reports.
  • Shovel and place waste materials in dedicated bins and assist with general production machinery when needed.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain Crown's housekeeping standards. All work area floors must remain clean.
  • Must be a team player. Teamwork is needed to achieve all responsibilities and goals assigned to the employee.
  • Daily clean-up tasks will vary depending on the production schedule.
  • Observe and report any violations to established policies.
  • Quality Control checks must be done as required by Crown. A sample tile must be at the machine to compare each color being packaged. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required
  • Previous manufacturing, painting, or quality control experience is strongly preferred.
  • Attention to
Detail:
High visual acuity and focus to identify slight variations in color, thickness, or seal quality.
  • Quality Control checks must be done as required by Crown. A sample tile must be at the machine to compare each color being packaged.
  • Obtain knowledge of Crown's Safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to follow verbal and/or written instructions in English. Must also have the ability to maintain written records and file reports as needed.
  • Required to be alert and observe machinery, and product quality at all times.
  • Organizational and improvisational skills are required to deal with daily challenges and accomplish production targets.
  • Must possess and demonstrate a significant desire to learn about all aspects of safely operating the plant machinery with a "whatever it takes" attitude!
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform physical labor such as lifting and transporting heavy units (50-75lbs) throughout a shift.
  • Quality Control checks must be done as required by Crown. A sample tile must be at the machine to compare each color being packaged. Experience and Education Requirements
  • Must speak read and write basic English well enough to comprehend Safety instructions or warnings, and accomplish instructions, reports and general communications involved in daily job duties.
  • Employee must understand and practice urgency required to minimize downtime and achieve daily production goals.
  • Two years' experience preferred using technical instruments; scales, Vernier calipers, aggregate screening (sieve analysis) equipment.
  • Must have advanced mathematical skills, to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and graphical capabilities.
