Production Assistant Dore Designs - 3.7 Cape Coral, FL Job Details Full-time From $17.50 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Teamwork Stitching Attention to detail Manufacturing Time management Full Job Description Production Assistant - Custom Couture Ballroom Dance Gown Manufacturing We are a premier custom couture ballroom dance gown manufacturer seeking a full-time Production Assistant to join our creative and dynamic team. This role is ideal for a highly organized self-starter with advanced sewing experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong understanding of stretch fabrics and couture garment construction. A keen eye for design and garment aesthetics is essential. Training will be provided in our specialized production techniques. Key Responsibilities Review design packets, technical notes, and production paperwork with designers Calculate fabric and material requirements for each gown design Track materials using spreadsheets, verify deliveries, and maintain accurate inventory records Source fabrics, trims, and specialty materials as needed Provide hands-on sewing support during production when required Assist with appliqué application and specialty embellishment work Collaborate closely with designers and sewing staff to ensure efficient workflow and on-time production Maintain an organized, positive, and team-oriented work environment Support continuous improvement of production processes and quality standards Qualifications Advanced sewing skills preferred Strong knowledge of stretch fabrics and couture garment construction techniques Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship Strong organizational, planning, and time-management skills Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and take initiative Strong communication and teamwork abilities Positive attitude and willingness to learn specialized techniques Schedule & Compensation Full-time position: 40 hours per week Mandatory overtime as needed (paid at 1.5x regular rate) Competitive salary, negotiable based on experience and qualifications Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is passionate about garment construction, enjoys working in a fast-paced creative environment, and takes pride in producing exceptional couture-quality work. Experience in dancewear, bridal, costume, or other specialty apparel is a plus.
