This position is ideal for individuals with experience working in sheet metal fabrication environments who can assist machine operators, fabricators, and shop supervisors while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards. The successful candidate will have knowledge of HVAC duct fabrication processes, the use of shop equipment and hand tools, and the ability to read basic fabrication drawings and measurements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist in the fabrication of HVAC ductwork and sheet metal components. Operate fabrication equipment under supervision, including plasma tables, shears, brakes, rollers, lockformers, and other sheet metal machinery. Measure, mark, cut, assemble, and prepare sheet metal materials according to shop drawings and specifications. Assist in the assembly of rectangular and spiral duct systems. Load, unload, organize, and transport materials throughout the shop. Perform quality checks to ensure fabricated products meet project requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Support inventory control and material handling activities. Assist with packaging and preparation of fabricated products for delivery. Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Perform other duties as assigned by the Shop Supervisor. Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, HVAC duct fabrication, or a related manufacturing environment. Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and calipers. Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and dimensions. Ability to safely operate hand tools and power tools. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Authorization to work in the United States. Preferred Experience fabricating HVAC ductwork. Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Experience working with plasma cutting equipment and automated fabrication machinery. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the workday. Ability to work in a manufacturing/shop environment. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment. Ability to work in varying temperatures typical of fabrication facilities.
