Full Job Description Description:
The Multi-Role Cabinet Technician serves in a floating support role within the custom cabinet manufacturing facility. This position assists multiple departments throughout the shop based on production needs and workflow demands. This role requires adaptability, strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining high-quality standards. Core Responsibilities General Production Support Float between departments to support daily production operations as needed Assist production teams in maintaining workflow efficiency and meeting deadlines Help keep jobs organized and moving through the manufacturing process Support department supervisors with production tasks and material handling Maintain quality standards across all phases of manufacturing Assist with troubleshooting production issues and resolving workflow bottlenecks Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow company procedures, safety standards, and production expectations Departmental Support Responsibilities CNC & Machining Support Assist with material handling and organization of machined components Verify parts are labeled, sorted, and staged properly for production Help maintain workflow between machining and downstream departments Edge Banding Support Assist with edge banding operations and part processing Inspect components for quality and accuracy Organize completed parts for assembly and finishing Cabinet Assembly Support Assist cabinet builders with assembly and production needs Prepare materials, hardware, and components for assembly Help maintain organization and production flow within the assembly department Paint & Stain Department Support Assist with prep work, sanding, material movement, and finishing support Help maintain cleanliness and organization within finishing areas Support handling and staging of finished components Thermofoil Door Production Support Assist with thermofoil manufacturing processes and material preparation Support production flow and quality inspection of finished doors Drawer Production Support Assist with dovetail drawer manufacturing and assembly Organize completed drawer components and materials Laminate & Hardware Support Assist with laminate application and trimming Install and adjust doors, drawers, and hardware components Verify completed products meet quality standards Quality Control & Staging Support Assist with final inspections of completed cabinetry Help identify defects, missing items, or adjustments needed Organize completed jobs for staging, delivery, and installation
Requirements:
Qualifications Manufacturing, cabinetry, woodworking, or construction experience preferred Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple production areas Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing production priorities Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work well within a team environment Forklift experience is a plus Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials throughout the facility / 50 lbs minimum Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods Safe operation of tools and manufacturing equipment Ability to work throughout multiple production departments Ideal Candidate Traits Adaptable and flexible Team-oriented Self-motivated Detail-oriented Mechanically minded Strong problem-solving ability Positive attitude and willingness to assist where needed
