The location in Miami, (Florida, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of General Utility Conv . This job is full-time permanent. Summary The General Utility Worker in the Converting Department plays a vital role in Supporting daily production operations by performing a variety of manual and machine-support tasks. This role ensures continuos workflow, matains a clean and safe work enviroment, and assits operators and supervisors as need to meet production, quality , and safety goals. This role requires flexibility, attention to detail, and strong commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The position includes but it is not limited to the following tasks: Assist production crew by supplying materials, removing finished products, and cleaning around machines. Assist with set-up operation, and clean-up of converting equipment and production lines. Perform material handling task, including stacking, packing, labeling, and transporting products. Monitor production areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization in compliance with company standards. Safely operate basic tools and material handling equipment (such as pallet jacks or forklifts if is certified). Follow any safety hazards, maintenance issues, or equipment concerns immediately. Support other departments or performance other duties as assigned to meet operational needs. Relationships Internal Qualifications High school - Diploma or GED preferred but not required Forklift certified desired but not required Prior experience in manufacturing or industrial setting is strongly preferred Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, bending and working in hot humid or dusty areas. Knowledge, Skills and Competences Consistently follows safety protocols and promotes a safe working environment. Reports on time and completes assignments tasks with minimal supervision. Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility, initiative, and pride in workmanship. Communicate clearly and respectfully with ream members and leadership. Attention to details
Work Environment:
Work is performed in a manufacturing setting. Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection. Rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on production needs. You will be required to successfully complete a selection process that could include interviews, an employment background check, a pre-employment drug and alcohol screen, reference verifications, aptitude tests (for some positions), and a fitness-for-duty test (for some positions).
