Jacksonville, FL Job Details Temp-to-hire $14 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Qualifications Press brake machine Machine operation Basic math High school diploma or GED Dimensional measurements Quality inspection Manufacturing Measurement (quality control) Full Job Description A Sheet Metal Production Worker performs part assembly and general production duties using hand tools and machinery to manufacture HVAC sheet metal products while ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Assemble sheet metal parts using hand tools and production machinery
- Operate production machinery including but not limited to roll formers, punch presses, rivet machines, spot welders, and pipe rolling equipment
- Measure materials accurately using a tape measure
- Cut and form sheet metal according to specifications
- Inspect parts to ensure proper fit, form, and function
- Move and transport materials throughout production
- Follow all safety policies and PPE requirements
- Support other departments as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, and twisting
- Ability to lift up to 40-50 pounds regularly
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled (hot) environment
TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, AND MATERIALS USED
- Production machinery including but not limited to roll forming machines, press brakes, punch presses, spot welders, pneumatic tools, pipe rolling equipment, and Gorelock machines
- Hand tools including hammers and utility knives
- Tape measure
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be able to accurately read and use a tape measure
- Basic math skills required (measurement and calculations)
- Ability to follow instructions and production prints
- Strong attention to detail
MINIMUM EXPECTATIONS
- Strong attendance record
- Professionalism
- Manufacturing/production experience preferred
- Reliable transportation
SCHEDULE & PAY
- 2nd Shift (3PM until complete (around 11PM-1:30AM) Monday-Friday (and some Saturday)
