Shop Helper Southern Response Services - 4.1 Jacksonville, FL Job Details Full-time | Contract $17 an hour 18 hours ago Qualifications Shop math Numeracy Ability to follow instructions Manual handling Materials handling Full Job Description Position Summary The Shop Helper supports fabrication and production operations by assisting with material handling, part finishing, and maintaining a clean and organized shop environment. This is an entry-level position with opportunity for growth within the manufacturing team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Deburr and clean fabricated metal parts
- Perform material handling, including loading and unloading materials
- Assist operators and fabricators as needed
- Maintain shop cleanliness and organization
- Dispose of scrap material properly
- Follow all company safety procedures and policies
- Assist with general production support tasks as assigned Qualifications
- Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure
- Good basic math skills (fractions, measurements)
- Ability to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing shop environment
- Standing for extended periods
- Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds
- Exposure to industrial equipment and noise
