Full Job Description Job Summary:
Perform tasks needed to fabricate, assemble and install parts for custom, special purpose vehicles.
Responsibilities:
Follow directions from department lead and experienced co-workers Keep notes on processes and procedures to be used the next time you have to complete the task Follow layout drawings and specifications to fabricate or install components Operate metal shear, brake press, roll former and other shop tools Utilize hand tools for assembly and fabrication Check quality and accuracy of work. Maintain equipment to meet operational standards. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Set work priorities to meet production goals as scheduled by management.
Requirements:
Previous experience in aluminum fabrication a plus Must be mechanically inclined, able to read a tape measure to accurately measure parts and pieces Must have basic math skills and be able to solve problems and retain knowledge learned on site Must pay close attention to detail Ability to perform all operations within acceptable quality and time standards. Ability to lift and carry heavy items up to 50lbs Have or acquire required hand tools needed for the position Speak and understand
