In this role, you will lead engaging, hands-on sewing classes tailored specifically for kids, fostering their artistic expression, fine motor skills, and confidence. Your enthusiasm for teaching and your ability to connect with young learners will help cultivate a fun, safe, and educational environment where children can explore their creativity and develop new skills. This paid position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development while sharing your sewing expertise. Duties Design and deliver engaging sewing lessons that are age-appropriate and aligned with curriculum standards Develop innovative lesson plans that incorporate basic sewing techniques, safety procedures, and creative projects Manage classroom activities to ensure a positive, inclusive environment conducive to learning and creativity Provide individualized support and tutoring to students of varying skill levels, including those with special needs or early childhood education requirements Maintain a safe workspace by enforcing safety protocols related to sewing equipment and materials Incorporate additional creative elements such as photography, theater, or dance to enrich the learning experience when appropriate Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate achievements to motivate continued learning Qualifications Proven experience in sewing instruction or curriculum development for children or young learners Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage children effectively Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or early childhood programs Familiarity with lesson planning, behavior management strategies, and adapting activities for diverse learners Additional skills in areas such as ballet, dancing, cooking, culinary arts, theater, photography or childcare are a plus but not required Must be available to work every Thursday and all fashion events Passion for teaching and inspiring kids through creative arts while maintaining a safe and supportive environment Join us as a Sewing Instructor Kids and help ignite young imaginations!
