Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly motivated Production Technician to lead and complete daily manufacturing operations in a military/defense, production environment . The ideal candidate will ensure production goals are met while maintaining strict compliance with quality, safety, timelines and government regulations . This role is critical to supporting mission-ready products and requires strong leadership, attention to detail, mechanical aptitude and experience in a regulated, manufacturing setting. Responsibilities Improve processes through observation, bringing ideas and creation of work order instructions Capture, enhance and document processes with a LEAN mindset Coordinate and complete daily production activities on the manufacturing floor Ensure adherence to military specifications, quality standards, and safety protocols Monitor production schedules and adjust resources to meet deadlines Lead, coach, and develop production team members Enforce compliance with ISO, APQP, or similar quality systems Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and supply chain teams Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste Maintain accurate production records and reporting including video work instructions Ensure compliance with ITAR and other defense-related regulations Assist with managing employee performance and increase team engagement Work closely with teammates to increase productivity / reduce variable cost Drive safety projects and actions as required Act as Subject Matter expert on components, assembly requirements and procedures Perform operation of equipment to produce parts and meet quality standards on a as need basis Clean and organize the production floor on a daily basis. Other duties as assigned Qualifications An unwavering commitment to problem solve and improve each day, you look for ways to "get it done well" High degree of accountability and self motivation 3-5+ years of experience in hand assembled and machinery based manufacturing or production environments Experience in defense, aerospace, or military manufacturing strongly preferred Strong knowledge of LEAN/5S/Kaizen principles Ability to read, interpret and create technical documents and work instructions Knowledge and experience with common hand tools and power tools required. Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, comfortable with computer work Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills High School Diploma or GED required. Higer education is preferred but not required. $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
