General Production Worker Job Description This role focuses on coating, varnishing, and finishing products using a variety of materials and techniques. You will prepare and complete products through painting, applying epoxy, using adhesives, and operating production equipment such as a laser marking machine. You will also support product identification by creating labels and marking part numbers clearly and accurately. Responsibilities Coat and varnish products according to established specifications and quality standards. Finish products through painting, applying epoxy, and utilizing adhesives to meet required performance and appearance criteria. Operate a laser marking machine to mark parts with accurate information, following work instructions and safety guidelines. Create and apply labels to products and components, ensuring correct placement and legible information. Mark and write part numbers on products clearly and consistently, following production documentation. Assist with general assembly and production tasks as needed to support workflow and meet production schedules. Follow written scripts, work instructions, and standard operating procedures to complete tasks accurately. Inspect work for quality, identify defects, and communicate issues to the appropriate team members. Maintain a clean and organized work area and handle materials, coatings, and adhesives safely. Adhere to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements within the production environment. Essential Skills At least 6 months of manufacturing experience in assembly, general production, or a similar environment. Hands-on experience with coating, varnishing, adhesives, or epoxy in a production or manufacturing setting. Ability to operate basic production equipment such as a laser marking machine after training. Strong attention to detail for labeling, marking part numbers, and finishing work. Ability to follow written scripts, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Basic understanding of quality standards and visual inspection for finished products. Capability to work safely with coatings, adhesives, epoxy, and related materials. Dependable work habits, including consistent attendance and the ability to meet production goals. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience with painting, stamping, or similar finishing processes in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with label making and product identification practices. Comfort working with various hand tools and basic production equipment.
