This unique role bridges the gap between digital creativity and physical craftsmanship. You will split your time between designing client materials and working on the production floor—operating printing presses, running finishing machinery, and ensuring high-quality packaging and labeling for final delivery. This is an ideal entry-level position for a graphic designer who wants to understand the complete lifecycle of print media, from initial concept to the final, physical product. Key Responsibilities Graphic Design (Digital & Pre-Press) Create and modify clean, production-ready graphic designs based on client specifications. Prepare digital files for print production (pre-flight checks, setting bleeds, margins, and color profiles). Collaborate with the team to manage design assets and template updates. Print Production & Finishing Set up, operate, and maintain digital printing presses and production equipment. Monitor print runs to ensure color accuracy, alignment, and overall quality control. Operate finishing equipment, including cutters, laminators, folders, and scoring machines. Packaging, Labeling & Fulfillment Count, inspect, and neatly package completed print jobs for delivery or shipping. Apply accurate labels, shipping tags, and job specifications to outgoing orders. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production workshop environment.
Qualifications & Skills Education/Experience:
Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent portfolio/work experience).
Software:
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign .
Technical Aptitude:
Comfort learning to operate mechanical machinery and digital print interfaces.
Detail-Oriented:
A sharp eye for design alignment, typos, color shifts, and finishing defects.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs of paper stock or materials.
Attitude:
A strong work ethic, willingness to do hands-on labor, and a desire to learn the print industry from the ground up.
