Pre-Production Specialist BuildaBow Tampa, FL Job Details Full-time $15 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Maintaining an organized workspace Scissors Visual color comparison Dimensional measurements Attention to detail Cutting machines Clean workspace maintenance Time management Full Job Description Summary The Pre‑Production Specialist prepares all materials needed for cheer bows and related accessories before they enter the main production workflow. This role includes cutting fabric and ribbon to precise measurements, starching ribbon, identifying fabric types and colors, and safely using cutting tools. It's ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working with both fabric and craft materials in a hands‑on environment. Key Responsibilities Cut fabric and ribbon to exact measurements based on order requirements, ensuring accuracy and consistency Starch ribbon to achieve the correct stiffness and shape needed for cheer bow construction Identify and work with different fabric types and colors , ensuring correct materials are selected for each order Use sharp blades, rotary cutters, and scissors safely to cut materials cleanly and efficiently Prepare materials in batches to support smooth production flow Organize cut pieces by size, color, and order type Maintain clean, precise edges on all fabric and ribbon cuts Follow measurement charts, templates, and visual instructions Work efficiently while alternating between sitting and standing as needed for different tasks Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow all safety guidelines Qualifications Experience with fabric cutting, ribbon cutting, or craft‑based production Strong understanding of different fabric types, textures, and color matching Ability to use scissors, rotary cutters, and other sharp tools safely and accurately Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow precise measurements Comfortable working in a hands‑on, materials‑focused environment Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy Strong time‑management skills and ability to meet daily prep goals Preferred Skills Experience with material preparation for crafts, apparel, or handmade products Familiarity with ribbon types, fabric blends, and how different materials behave when cut or starched Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced production setting
