Printing Press Production Assistant 180 Joe Frank Harris Pkwy SE, Cartersville, GA 30120 From $25 an hour - Full-time, Contract From $25 an hour - Full-time, Contract Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically skilled Independent Contractor to manage the full lifecycle of industrial multi-piece printing press systems. This role involves the meticulous cleaning, assembly, maintenance, and eventual decommissioning of complex printing machinery. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with industrial hardware, and the ability to work independently to meet strict project deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities Precision Cleaning:
Perform deep-level cleaning of multi-piece press components to ensure optimal performance and remove industrial debris.
Mechanical Exchange:
Identify and replace worn or damaged parts, including rollers, bearings, and specialized press components.
System Assembly:
Reassemble complex, multi-section printing presses according to technical schematics and manufacturer specifications.
De-installation:
Systematically disassemble and prepare industrial presses for relocation or decommission, ensuring all parts are labeled and secured.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct post-assembly checks to ensure all mechanical parts move freely and are calibrated correctly.
Requirements & Qualifications Professional Status:
Must operate as an independent contractor (1099).
Insurance:
Requirement:
Candidate must provide proof of their own Workers' Compensation insurance and General Liability insurance.
Technical Experience:
Prior experience with industrial machinery, logistics, or mechanical assembly is highly preferred.
Tools:
Must have knowledge to use standard and complex tools.
Physical Ability:
Must be able to lift heavy components, work in industrial environments, and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Reliability:
Strong adherence to safety protocols and the ability to manage project timelines without direct supervision.
Pay:
From $25.00 per hour
