The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic leader in the Paint, Coating, and Adhesive Manufacturing industry, specializing in plastic colorants and industrial process innovation. Our client is committed to delivering high-quality products through continuous improvement and operational excellence. This opportunity offers the chance to drive impactful projects, optimize manufacturing processes, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure both plant efficiency and superior customer outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead evaluation and optimization of manufacturing processes for masterbatch, pigment dispersions, and colored compounds. Drive division-level project tracking, execution, and timely completion of plant and customer initiatives. Monitor and improve key operational KPIs such as scrap, downtime, throughput, and efficiency. Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and drive corrective actions. Maintain and enforce process documentation, control parameters, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Coordinate cross-functional meetings to ensure project alignment and accountability across teams. Lead capital improvement projects such as equipment installations, upgrades, and layout modifications. Oversee planning and execution of customer trials and support technical sales activities as required.
Must-Have Skills:
Proven leadership in managing multiple projects within manufacturing or plastics processing environments. Strong understanding of extrusion, compounding, and polymer processing operations. Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills with accountability focus. Ability to interpret process flow diagrams and analyze production data. Excellent communication skills and comfort in hands-on manufacturing settings. High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Polymer Science, Manufacturing Management, or related field. Experience leading cross-functional projects in an industrial or production maintenance environment. Prior exposure to extrusion or masterbatch production processes. Hands-on experience supporting technical sales or customer visits in a manufacturing context.
