Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a part-time Seamstress / Sewing Assistant to assist with law-enforcement garment production and general sewing support tasks. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, dependable, and experienced in sewing. Responsibilities include assisting with sewing, preparing materials, reading and following garment documentation, organizing components for each garment, and supporting overall workflow. Candidates should be detail-oriented, able to follow instructions carefully, and comfortable working in a hands-on production environment. Duties Operate sewing machines efficiently to assemble garments according to specifications and patterns Perform garment construction tasks, including stitching, pressing, and bartacking with precision Inspect finished products for quality, accuracy, and adherence to design standards Assist in the cutting of velcro and webbing material and preparation to ensure a smooth workflow Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all sewing tools and materials are properly stored Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship Follow safety protocols when handling sewing equipment and materials Requirements Proven experience with garment construction and sewing techniques Proficiency in operating various types of industrial sewing machines (walking-foot, bartacking) Good understanding of sewing patterns, measurements, and fabric types Ability to work efficiently in a high-standard manufacturing setting Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different sewing projects This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to hone their sewing expertise in a vibrant environment. Interview Process:
Candidates selected to move forward will be invited to complete an in-person interview and on-site sewing skills test . This will help us assess experience, technical ability, and attention to detail.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
