Production Assistant

Company Overview:

Grid Graphics is a manufacturer located in Bolingbroke, GA, between Macon and Forsyth, directly off I-75. Grid Graphics manufactures substation signage and transformer labels for electric utilities across the United States through screen-printing presses and large-format digital printing.

Job Summary:

Responsibilities include operating multiple workstations. Workstations include printing machinery that transfers industrial inks, laminate rollers that merge materials, and a hydraulic chop cutter to create end products. It is important to be accurate and work efficiently in a fast-paced, safe environment.

Education:

Employees must have a high school diploma or advanced technical school training.

Experience:

Strong understanding of mechanical machinery and familiarity with manufacturing environment.

Preferred:

2 years of experience operating a semi-automatic screen press or similar machinery.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the setup and operation of screen printing machines, ensuring proper alignment and ink flow. Prepare screens and materials for printing, including color mixing and prepress tasks. Conduct quality control checks to maintain high standards in print quality and color accuracy. Collaborate with graphic designers to implement layouts and typography effectively. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and equipment maintenance. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of projects. Ability to read and interpret work instructions, safety guidelines, job instructions and other work-related material. Ability to enter basic data into a computer system. Use of fine motor skills to make specific machine adjustments. Work safely and follow guidelines to prevent on-the-job injuries.

Physical Requirements:

Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
