Job Description

Mounter Trainee
GENERAL PURPOSE
: Perform the necessary duties of plate preparation to ensure Flexographic jobs can be run on the press.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
: Sets up plate material on mounting machine using coordinates. Clean and laminate plate material. Mount plate material onto belt material to be able to run on Flexographic press. Properly prepare and trim plates to adjust and maintain quality of production. Cleans and maintains mounting equipment (tables, belt mounter, etc.) along with general common areas. Removes and mounts plates when needed. Bring down mounting jobs using mechanical roll mover and wrap mounting jobs for storage. Notifies supervision of needed repairs or replacement parts. Oversee the production schedule to determine what jobs need to be mounted. Assists the press operator with any adjustments that are needed for the jobs on the press. Assists with other printing processes as needed and as directed by supervision. Complies with established safety procedures and policies. Follows established standard operating procedures. Complete required job documentation. Performs all plate inspections to ensure quality and continued use of plates. Performs and reviews line clearance. Removes waste from the mounting area. Works with other departments and maintenance personnel on projects and/or validations. Performs other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. Must have basic computer skills. Must have the ability to perform basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Must be able to maintain good attendance. Must be willing to work overtime as needed; significant overtime may be required during busy periods. Must be able to perform all essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accommodation. OTHER We focus on career development and internal promotions. Extensive OSHA safety and other training programs. Responsible for the overall Safety, Quality and cleanliness of equipment and area. Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures. Annual set shift schedules working 12-hour shifts.
