General Production Worker

General Production Worker Join a hands-on manufacturing team building wood trusses and structural components. This role is ideal for individuals with construction, carpentry, framing, or general labor experience who enjoy physical work, using tools, and working in a fast‑paced environment. What You'll Do Assemble wood trusses according to work-order prints Set jigs, tack plates, and verify measurements to 1/16" accuracy Use hand and power tools such as framing hammers and staple guns Catch, stack, and label cut lumber coming off saws Read a tape measure and carpenter square to confirm lengths and angles Move, stand, and position large trusses with the help of team members or forklift operators Perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and occasional kneeling or crawling Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work area What We're Looking For Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Strong tape‑measure skills At least 6 months of experience in construction, general labor, production, or manufacturing Comfortable using hand tools and working in a physically demanding environment Nice to Have Carpentry or framing experience Familiarity with forklifts Experience performing repetitive, detail‑oriented work Work Environment Wood and steel truss manufacturing facility Warm conditions during summer months with doors open for airflow; heated during winter Dress code includes jeans or shorts, T‑shirts, and steel‑toed footwear Employees should bring their own framing hammer, hammer holder, and 25‑foot tape measure for wood shop roles Company provides safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and hard hats Multiple shifts available; some shifts include built‑in paid hours Why You'll Like Working Here Third shift employees work 35 hours but are paid for 40 Competitive benefits package after hire Strong health insurance options Flexible paid time off Attendance bonuses based on hours worked Employee appreciation events such as cookouts, cookies, and food trucks Occasional company‑branded merchandise Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of
