Interpret and follow blueprints and drawings to guide the assembly of structural components. Perform routine quality checks on assembled parts and finished bunker walls to confirm they meet required standards. Operate general production and assembly equipment safely and efficiently as needed. Handle and move materials and components, consistently lifting items weighing 50 pounds or more. Use hand tools and power tools to complete structural assembly tasks in a steel manufacturing environment. Support machine operation and basic troubleshooting to keep production running smoothly. Essential Skills Experience in general production or general labor in a manufacturing or similar environment. Assembly experience, preferably with structural or steel components. Comfortable and capable of lifting 50 pounds or more on a consistent basis. Skilled in the safe use of hand tools and power tools such as saws and drills. High attention to detail to ensure accurate measurements, cuts, and assembly. High reliability and strong work ethic, with consistent attendance and follow-through. Basic machine operating skills and willingness to learn production machinery. Ability to perform quality checks and identify issues in assembled parts. Comfort working in a steel manufacturing or construction-oriented environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Construction or general labor experience with assembly is a strong plus. Experience in steel manufacturing, structural assembly, or similar industrial settings is beneficial. Familiarity with machine operation and basic troubleshooting in a production environment. Comfort operating or working around forklifts and other material handling equipment. No formal education or certifications required; on-the-job training is provided. Why Work Here? Employees join a close-knit team that values working hard while enjoying the process and supporting one another. The company invests heavily back into the operation to make jobs easier, more efficient, and safer, including reorganizing the production floor, purchasing state-of-the-art machines, and upgrading air filtration systems. Team members who transition to direct employment gain access to a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, vision, retirement plan options, and additional perks. The organization emphasizes continuous improvement, modern equipment, and a positive culture where people take pride in their work and the environment they help create. A shift differential is available for second shift, recognizing and rewarding different work schedules. Work Environment The role is based in a steel manufacturing and production facility focused on assembling structural bunker walls. The standard first shift schedule runs from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with additional shifts available that may include a shift differential. The environment involves regular use of hand tools, power tools, and production machinery, with state-of-the-art equipment and an updated production floor layout designed to improve workflow and efficiency.
