Job Description

at Big O Tires Ammon in Ammon, Idaho, United States Job Description Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record. 1. Arrive at work rested, in clean uniform and clothes, positive attitude, personally clean.
Uniform includes:
Black or dark gray pants, Big O Tires shop shirt, safety glasses, pen, air gauge, and chalk. (also, ear protection if necessary) (if a hat is worn it must be a Big O hat.) 2. Display tires in front of store with labels displayed. 3. Prepare bays for operation. A. Turn on compressor. B. Check that tire lube is filled is each tire machine. C. Check that air guns are oiled. D. Check that the following are placed at each machine: Flip sockets, valve cap tools, stem removers, hubcap Hammers and plastic wheel guards. E. Check that stems have been stocked at each machine. F. Prepare balancer for operation - turn on and stock weights. G. Clean Bay and garage door windows. H. Clean and inspect workbench and tire repair area for tools. I. Assure all trash cans are empty. J. Scrub and clean tire machines, balancers, and air hoses. 4. Unlock used tire rack and cage. Assure cleanliness and label uniformity. 5. Sweep, pickup, and clean parking lot. 6. Unload transport trucks and warehouse tires. 7. Clean the shop employee bathroom. 8.
Miscellaneous projects:
A. Clean and paint used wheel weights. B. Paint facilities C. Police lot D. Lace junk tires E. Clean dunk tank F. Clean floor trap 9. Once car is in bay your duties: A. No food or drink or cigarettes are to be used in vehicle. Do not adjust any vehicle accessories. Do not remove anything from the vehicle. If the vehicle has power locks, lower the window and assure that the locks are not engaged. B. Assure vehicle air-ride systems are turned off before lifting. And turn them back on when done. C. Also assure emergency brake is off, and vehicle is in neutral before Applying safe and effective lifting practices. 10. Speed lane inspection and assure it is done correctly and in accordance with Big O Tires speed lane procedures. 11. Technician on the left side of vehicle should read out loud to his bay partner assuring Clear and accurate directions. 12. Remove tire and wheel with proper lifting procedures while keeping safe control of the wheel. 13. Install stem, lube beads, install tire, loosen cone, air up tire making sure not to remove Cone until tire is completely aired and both beads are seated.
