$20.81/hr Job Description We are seeking a Steel Process Operator to efficiently process work orders within our Fabrication department. This role requires effective collaboration with crew members to ensure high-quality production. Responsibilities Process sheet metal using various fabrication machines. Complete work orders while adhering to necessary quality standards. Collaborate effectively with the fabrication team. Essential Skills High School Diploma. 0-3 months of relevant experience. Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms. Capability to read and interpret blueprints. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Intermediate skills in shop math. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform basic data entry. Ability to lift and carry weights of up to 50 lbs. Experience in the steel industry. 1-2 years of manufacturing experience. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work environment is a large manufacturing plant with normal exposure to noise, dust, and hazards associated with a high-traffic, heavy machinery setting. Typical work hours are Monday through Thursday, with possible overtime. Work hours may change at Management's discretion with prior notice. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dekalb, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.81 - $20.81/hr.
