We are looking for Production Associates-Sewers to join our powerful team in Huntly, IL.
Hours:
M-F, 7am-3pm The Production Associate-Sewer brings expertise in both automated and non-automated industrial sewing equipment, with a proven track record of creating high-quality ratchet straps, winch straps, and cargo control products. This position contributes to Cargo Equipment's continued success in delivering exceptional products to clients through skilled and efficient operation of sewing equipment. Responsibilities Set up and operate industrial sewing machines to assemble ratchet strap, net or other assemblies. Pull hardware as needed for strap assemblies Attach ratchets or other hardware to webbing Inspect finished products for defects or damage Perform basic maintenance on the machine such as changing needles, threading the machine, adjusting tension Position materials under needles and adjust as needed to sew straps and then cut excess thread Keep the workspace clean and hazard free following all safety protocols Participate in monthly safety training videos
Qualifications:
High Schook diploma or equivalent Experience operating industrial sewing machines in a manufacturing environment Ability to read and interpret work orders, use measuring tools Maintain high speed production Attention to detail Strong work ethic Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Able to collaborate and work in a team setting Ability to lift hardware boxes up to 50 pounds Excellent attendance and on time adherence Bi-lingual skills preferred Ability to follow instructions All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
