  • Cooks TaCanijo is hiring! We are looking for reliable and hardworking Food Production Specialists
  • Cooks to join our taqueria team.
This position is responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, keeping the kitchen clean and organized, and helping us serve fresh, consistent, and delicious Mexican street food every day. The role reports to the Taqueria Manager and supports food quality, food safety, cleanliness, station readiness, and teamwork. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items following TaCanijo recipes and standards. Set up, stock, and maintain kitchen stations during the shift. Keep kitchen and prep areas clean, organized, and safe. Follow food safety rules, including labeling, storage, hygiene, and temperature checks. Package and prepare food orders accurately and quickly. Communicate shortages, equipment issues, or concerns to the manager. Complete daily prep, closing tasks, and shift handoff duties. Work as part of a team and support a positive work environment. Requirements Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. Food Handler Certificate required or must be willing to obtain one. Basic kitchen or food service experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
