This position serves as a key liaison between the production team and the Production Supervisor by assisting with machine setups, material distribution, workflow coordination, and overall organization of the production floor. When production support tasks are complete, the Working Lead will also assist with manufacturing duties to help meet production goals. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional looking to take on a leadership role while remaining actively involved in daily operations. Key Responsibilities Assist the Production Supervisor with daily production activities and operational support. Perform setup and changeover of dies and arbors to ensure production equipment is prepared for scheduled jobs. Pull, stage, and distribute raw materials to production workstations based on manufacturing needs. Monitor and sustain workflow throughout the production floor to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency. Maintain organized work areas and ensure materials are properly stored and readily accessible. Support production scheduling by coordinating material availability and assisting with job transitions. Lead by example by promoting safe work practices and maintaining company quality standards. Communicate effectively with production personnel and management regarding workflow, priorities, and operational concerns. Train and assist team members as needed while fostering a collaborative work environment. When operational support duties are complete, actively participate in production by manufacturing parts and assisting with assembly processes. Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute ideas to increase productivity and organization. Demonstrate accountability, professionalism, integrity, and ownership in all assigned responsibilities. Skills & Experience Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment required. Prior experience in a lead, team lead, or supervisory role preferred. Strong understanding of production workflows and manufacturing operations. Ability to organize materials and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to assist with equipment setups. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently while supporting and motivating team members. Reliable attendance and commitment to long-term employment. Preferred Qualifications Experience performing die and arbor setups in a manufacturing environment. Forklift experience is a plus but not required. Experience coordinating production schedules or material flow. Background in precision manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial production. Work Environment Positions available on 1st shift . Manufacturing facility with active production equipment and machinery. Hands-on role requiring frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and movement throughout the facility. Daily interaction with production staff, supervisors, and management. Required use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, and other required safety equipment. Combination of leadership responsibilities and direct production work depending on operational needs.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
