Production Associate

Production Associate - Day Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM) Job Description The Production Associate supports daily manufacturing operations by packaging products, handling materials, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This role involves working on a production line, operating basic equipment, and ensuring all finished goods meet quality and packaging standards before shipment or storage. Responsibilities Pack, weigh, and label completed items accurately for shipment or storage. Follow all company guidelines and procedures for packaging and material handling. Properly use packaging materials and tools, including hand tools, glues, nails, padding, and related supplies. Identify defective items, remove them from the production flow, and dispose of them according to company standards. Wash tubs of ink and ensure related equipment is clean and ready for use. Keep complete and accurate records of all materials and products that move through the warehouse or production area. Support general production activities such as loading, unloading, picking, and assembly as needed. Work on the production line to meet daily output goals and maintain consistent product quality. Operate basic production or packaging machinery in a safe and efficient manner after training. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with housekeeping and safety standards. Essential Skills At least 2 years of production manufacturing experience. Experience in machine operating, assembly, or other production roles. General labor experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment. Ability to perform packing and packaging tasks with attention to detail. Capability to work on a production line and follow standard operating procedures. Basic experience with material handling, including loading and unloading. Ability to use basic hand tools safely during packaging and production tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Blending or mixing experience in a production or manufacturing setting is a plus. Experience with pallet jacks or similar material handling equipment is beneficial. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing facility with a production and warehouse setting. The environment includes an ink smell that is present but not intense enough to require masks. You work primarily on a day shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Daily activities involve standing for extended periods, working on or around production lines, and handling packaging materials, tubs of ink, and general production equipment. The facility promotes cleanliness and organization, and you are expected to help maintain a tidy and safe work area while working collaboratively with other production team members. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Prospect, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
