Job Description

Job Purpose:
The Floor Help position at
JOHNS BYRNE CO
is designed to support the smooth operation of our production floor by assisting with various tasks that ensure efficiency and safety. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, organized, and productive work environment, contributing to the overall success of the company's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the production floor to ensure a safe and efficient workspace. Support production staff by providing necessary materials and tools, ensuring they are readily available for use. Monitor inventory levels of supplies and notify the appropriate personnel when reordering is necessary. Aid in the setup and breakdown of equipment and workstations as needed to facilitate production activities. Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements that enhance productivity and safety. Follow all company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, to uphold a safe working environment. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to report any issues or concerns promptly. Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay informed about company updates and industry best practices.
Required Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred. Experience with inventory management or stock handling is advantageous. Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a workplace setting.
Required Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors. Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required by the job, up to 70 pounds. Basic computer skills for inventory tracking and reporting. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
