Woodridge, IL Production / Manufacturing Associate El Matador is a family-owned, SQF-certified manufacturer based in Woodridge, IL. We operate a clean, organized, and compliant production environment and take food safety seriously. We are looking for a dependable production associate to support our Production Manager with the day-to-day operations of our facility. About the Role You will work directly under our Production Manager, assisting with daily production tasks, maintaining cleanliness and organization on the floor, and upholding all food safety standards. The right candidate with the right experience has a clear path to advancement within our team. What You'll Do- Weigh product components to specifications and load into blending equipment as part of daily production operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant production floor; clean and sanitize equipment and blenders to company specifications
- Follow and enforce HACCP, GMP, and SQF protocols
- Support production scheduling and workflow under direction of the Production Manager
- Complete batch sheets and production forms, recording lot numbers, product codes, and other required data for traceability
- Report food safety or food quality concerns immediately to the appropriate authority; communicate other floor issues and inefficiencies as they arise
- Request materials from the warehouse as needed; inspect product components to confirm correct and acceptable materials are in use; assist with receiving, inventory, and storage Requirements
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
- Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety standards (required)
- Familiarity with SQF standards is a strong plus (we are SQF certified)
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or production preferred
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and detail
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift as needed
