Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Production Operator to join our team in a copper metal melting and chemical processing facility. Univertical has been serving the worldwide plating industry since 1938 with the highest quality, highest purity, and best customer service. Univertical truly is the global benchmark of quality. 12 hour shift-Sunday Night - Wednesday Night. Training will be on day shift M-Th up to 60 days.
Plus Shift Premium, Quarterly Attendance Bonus Key Responsibilities:
Operate forklift and overhead crane Operate and understand the job required equipment and processes Operate furnaces, induction heaters, and other melting equipment to process copper metals according to specified procedures. Handle raw materials and feed them into machines or process tanks. Perform routine sampling and basic lab tests to ensure product quality and compliance. Maintain accurate production logs and equipment checklists. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and environmental regulations. Assist in the cleaning, inspection, and minor maintenance of equipment. Identify and report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors. Must keep a clean and organized workspace Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
Proof of High School diploma or GED equivalent Applicant must have a record of reliable attendance Computer skills including Microsoft Office programs Strong written & verbal communication skills Time management skills Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills. Comfortable working in high-temperature and industrial environments. Understanding 6S methodology and supporting it Ability to read and interpret technical documents, schematics, and safety instructions. Able to learn analytical skills as required for quality assurance Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
