Responsibility The Press Associate is responsible for safely receiving, inspecting, and handling stamped parts as they exit the press. This role is critical to ensure parts meet quality standards and are properly processed to support continuous production and on-time delivery to internal and external customers. Accountable to Press Team Leader, Coordinator, and Press Managers Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Manufacturing or automotive experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to follow standardized work and instructions Good communication and teamwork skills Basic Skills Demonstrate basic skills for manufacturing competence: Matching Compare part with quality check point, Kanban tag, and barcode. Coding Accurately complete production form by documenting part disposition in each production code. Measurement Compare part accuracy by measuring part on check fixture, verifying part characteristics. Inspection Compare quality of part to visual controls, Master sample and Check fixture. Math Ensure parts are produced in schedule quantity by counting and tracking number of parts produced. Use production quantity and amount of time to produce parts, to calculate production efficiency Leadership Ensure personal safety by complying with all safety procedures. Model appropriate associate conduct and work ethic. Service Support press operators and team lead to maintain steady production flow Respond quickly to issues that could impact downstream processes or customers Communicate clearly during shift changes and when issues arise Contribute to a team-oriented environment focused on safety and quality Take ownership of part quality before it leaves the press area Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE Support
