Production Worker

Elkhart Brass currently has openings for hard working individuals in our Assembly and Shipping/Receiving areas on 1st and 3rd shifts. $2.50/hour shift premium for 3rd shift. Assembly Essential Skills .

• Understands how to read, comprehend, and follow assembly blueprints and work orders.
• Ability to perform Inventory transactions including scrap procedures and unplanned transactions forms.
• Demonstrated ability to perform test procedures and complete necessary test forms.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to navigate AS400, (use look up screen, log on/off jobs), use EBPDM, and utilize other systems as necessary.
• Must have the ability to use rulers and scales.
• Competent in visual quality inspections and able to identify deviations from specifications or flaws.
• Capable of identifying all defects in the Assembly Lessons Learned books.
• Must demonstrate ability to complete assemblies to the established production rates. Shipping/Receiving
• Capable of accurately reading work orders and shipping paperwork.
• Must have basic computer skills and be able to navigate

AS400, EB

Catalog, EDPDM, varsity and other systems as necessary.

• Ability to safely operate a forklift and successfully pass a driving test and a written exam.
• Must be able to understand and follow the procedures, processes and paperwork of the warehouse.
• Proficient in the use various hand tools.
• Ability to operate perform basic maintenance on the foam machine and Ranpak machine.
• Competent in visual quality inspections and able to identify deviations from specifications or flaws.
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic.
• Must demonstrate ability to complete processes to the established production rates.
