Job Title:

Mill Operator Job Description We are seeking an experienced Mill Operator with a strong background in heavy industrial environments. The ideal candidate will have the ability to utilize computers to document production completion, ensure the correct raw materials are loaded onto the line, and perform quality checks using micrometers and calipers. Responsibilities Utilize a computer to document production completion. Ensure correct raw material is loaded onto the production line. Read measurements accurately using tape measures, micrometers, and calipers. Perform quality checks with micrometers and calipers. Operate gauzes and shears effectively. Change over products on the machine. Lead and guide assistants on tasks required on the line. Essential Skills Machine operating experience. Basic math skills. Heavy industrial experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift operation. Overhead crane experience. Mechanical experience. Crane operation. Experience with CNC mills. Why Work Here? Mechanics should expect to get greasy. We recently moved into this facility, and it requires wearing metatarsals, hard hats, glasses, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves. Work shifts are 10 hours long, Monday through Thursday, with potential overtime on Fridays. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Gary, IN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $60320.00/yr. 401K, health, dental, vision Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Gary,IN.
